The Conference Venue: the Hotel Dupanloup

Built in the 17th century, the Old Bishopry, also called Hotel Dupanloup, was the subject of successive building campaigns and bears the mark of the passage of various bishops including Archibishop Félix Dupanloup from 1849 to 1878. It has hosted the main Library of Orléans until 1994. Since january 2013, this magnificent palace hosts the center for international studies of the University of Orléans.

How to get there

  • If you are coming by train you will need to get a train at Gare d'Austerlitz to Orleans Centre or to Les Aubrais (in this case you will have to get either a navette to Orleans Centre station or get the tramway outside the station). You can find here a timetable for trains between Paris and Orleans.

  • The nearest airport is Paris Orly. Orléans is just a one-hour train ride away from the railway station Paris Austerlitz. The easiest is to take a taxi from Orly to the train station (about 25 EUR). Trains are frequent (approximately every hour), with a hole between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

  • The Hotel Dupanloup (B) is just a 10 minute walk away from the main railway station (Orléans Centre) The best walk path from the railway station (A) is indicated explicitly in the map above.
